Does anyone have experience caring for a fungia coral?

Do I need to feed it phytoplankton or will the stuff floating in my tank with a 5" dsb and 100# of live rock take care of it?

Should I feed it any shrimp/silversides, etc and if so, on what kind of schedule?

The book I have says it needs phytoplankton to thrive, but my question is whether I need to go get DTs and target feed it or if it will be good with the mystery stuff in the tank?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give,

Diane

do you regularly stir your sand around??? if you do you should have plenty for it to eat on if you are well established but a little DTs probably wouldnt hurt any

I have kept fungiidea corals of different genus and species and have never target fed them but they will open there mouths and catch fish food or algea or anything they can. you also have phyto free floating in your tank if you have lights on. not really necessary in my oppinion to add but alot of people do with great success
