To start out I am going to show the progression pictures since when I bought the tank. I bought the tank already set up in April of '05. I believe it had only ben set up for a few months when I bought it for $400.

When I purchase it the tank only had 130w of 50/50 PC. Just a month ago I put a 175 20K XM on it. The tank has a 10 gallon sump with refugium. My return pump is a Mag 3 and my skimmer is CSS 65.

I am wanting to start a diary of what is going on in my tank so I thought I would start one here.

Dang, nice progress. I love the black clowns too. How does that single bulkhead strainer do with surface film?

Oh, sorry about that. The two pairs of clowns are no longer in there. I had to put my pair of black clowns in there for a week. Something happened in my 90 gallon where everything was trying to die on me. I got that all fixed and the black perculas are back in the 90.

Here are a few more new pictures, plus some new zoos I picked up. I think they might be my favorite so far!

Here they are:

I was messing with my brothers Cannon and finally figure out how to get some good pics with it. Here are some other pics of my 29.

Also, i am wanting to put a closed loop on it. What would be a good pump to use? I am running a mag 3 for my return pump. I was thinking a mag 5 or 7 through a scwd? What do you guys thinks?

Sorry it took so long to get the updated pictures up.

Here is the newest picture of my tank that I just took. I have recently added a few corals a Cluster Acro, Red Millipora and a Sun Coral. I also bought a fungia from a LFS.

I love my 29 gallon tank, right now I like it more then my 90 gallon. It is much easier to take care of and much cheaper. I still want to add a closed loop to it, but I need to save some money up first. I am not sure what else I want to add to it. I think I need to frag my chalice because it is really too big for the tank. I am thinking I want to frag it in 3 pieces and keep two for me and sell/trade one of them. I have not decided yet.

It is a Corallife Super Skimmer 65, which I believe works perfect for this setup. It fits nicely in a partioned 10 gal sump.

There are several corals between the blue mushrooms and the zoos. There is a brain, fungia, candy cane coral and the one that is leaning against the rock to the immediate right I am not exactly sure what it is. It was sold to me as a green eye cup coral, but I beleive it is an alien eye enchino. Some have also said it migh be a chalice, but I think it is an enchino. I am going to trade a frag with a local reefer so hopefully we can figure out what it is.

Does anyone have any comments on what it might be?

It does pretty well, I keep quite a bit of surface aggitation and never realy see anything build up on the surface.

I believe picture 11 is the blue musrooms. Quote the picture and I will tell you what it is.

I took the pictures with a Cannon A95 ( I believe). It is my g/f's camera and she has it right now.

I just bought a Workhorse 5, T12 endcaps, T12 mounting brackets, and a 75W 24" URI superactinic. They should be here on Friday. I can not wait to see what the tank looks like with this bulb. I wil try to post pictures on Friday night on Saturday afternoon!

I am sooo excited!

I am currently in the process of designing a tank to replace my 29g. It is going to be a 24" x 24" x 16" cube.

Here is a link to the build thread. 2' cube (http://archive.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=807638)
