Here's the cube at the 2 year mark. I just cleaned it up yesterday so new pics were in order.

These are cool. Got this little rock of zoos a couple of years ago and it had some clove polyps in it, which have spread to between the zoos. And yes...that is hair algae. I'm working on it k?

Top rock in the tank - this one's three years old and has had various things glued to it over the years. The most recent have been the monti caps and digis, about a year ago.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v513/stanton4/cube408.jpg

Left side of that same rock. The underside of that cap is all pink zoos, that are very hard to photograph. They go well with that purple digi.

Skunk cleaner at his favorite hang out. He's about 18 months old now.

Middle looking toward the right side. I stuck that piece of monti cap that I had accidently broken off, on that rock in the mddle of the picture behind that digitata. I intended to give it to someone, but it has since encrusted the rock. Oops.

Back to the top of the tank. In the center is what's now growing off a plug that once once a huge german blue digitata, that was growing out of the water. I snapped it off and traded it in, leaving the plug behind.

Closer.

As always, the star polyps are the last to come out after being handled. Checking to see if it's safe to come out yet:

Funky scroll aglae that popped up. I accidently broke it while cleaning yesterday.

AquaC Remora skimmer
Emperor 280/no biowheel
MJ 900 with Hydor Flo
Microjet behind the rockwork

Inhabs:

Royal gramma
Bicolor blenny
Yellow watchman goby
1 mexican turbo snail
1 zebra striped turbo snail
1 checkered nerite
1 margarita snail
1 astrea snail
6 cerith snails
6 nassarius snails
1 electric blue hermit
2 blue leg hermits
2 scarlett reef hermits
possibly one emerald, but that's iffy.
1 skunk cleaner

Lots of coral
Bunch of LR
LS trying to survive my neglect

cyano
hair algae
halimeda
scroll algae

The above 4 have popped up due to my neglect.

Just tested my water for the first time in months today:

SG - 35 ppt
pH - 8.1
Alk - 2.63/dKH - 7.4
Ca - 330 (oh my!!)
Mg - 1170 (typical IO reading)
Phos - 0.1

I dosed some Mg and have Kent Phosphate sponge running in the HOB. I have some ESV calcium chloride that I'll mix up and dose tonight and over the next few days to try and bring the calcium level up. I guess I really ought to go back to dripping kalk in with my top off water. I hate it when I go through these lazy spells!! My tank suffers.

Agu, thanks for the inspiration. :D

Let's see...up front is a german blue digitata, behind that is a purple digitata and behind that is a gorgonian. My camera gives everything a blue wash. I'm comparison shopping for a new camera.

I took some more pics this morning and will upload later today.

nice job Sugar! I love your set up. So wish I had a 30g cube.

BTW....do you have a sump? if so, any pics of the entire setup of plumbing etc.?

also, how many different kinds of digi's do you have in there? digi's are awesome, so easy to grow and not too expensive.

with that kidn of light, are you thinking about adding any other types of acros or clams in there?

or for that matter...what is your future coral/fish wish list for your tank?

(i.e. a green cap with purples edges would look killer in there ;) )

Thanks for the kind remarks!

Amber, the gramma stays out most of the time, swimming in and out of the rocks but darts into the rocks to hide whenever anyone approaches the tank.

Chris...it sure has been! ;)

Al, I had a sump, (if one could call it that  ) it was a 15 hex, rigged with some baffles, but it was causing too many headaches for me so i decided to go back to just the basic set up. Cube, skimmer, HOB. Life is good.

I have three different color digis in there, orange, purple and german blue. Just the orange caps. The problem is that they have all encrusted so snapping them off to make room for new stuff is futile as the encrusted area will just regrow into branches. These things grow like mad under the 14K bulb.

I won't be adding any more fish. I'm happy with the current fish, and they are all about full adult size now, so the bioload is just fine for this tank. Corals...well, just about out of real estate - this one's done I think. I'll just let everything grow out I suppose.

The way that digitata is growing off of the plug looks like a Hawaiian "Hang Loose" bro.

That frag should really be named Spicoli, a la Ridgemont, you know?
