I am new to reef keeeping and new to the site but ive had my nano tank up for about 3 weeks now. I just want to see some suggestions on corals ect.

I have a standard 10 gallon aquarium with and eclipse system one hood on it 30 watt(twin light one actinic one 10K) with the media are filled with live rock rubble. And i have an extra powerhead for flow.

The tank has about 10 pounds of live rock init. 20lbs of arag alive special grade reef sand. 2 turbo snails, 2 scarlet hermits and a yellowtailed damsel to help cycle

I am planning on keeping mushrooms and maybe a few polyps but i want to keep a small Trachyphyllia geoffroyi(brain coral) could someone tell me if this is possible with my lighting.

I am also planning on getting rid of the damsel, getting 2 skunk cleaner shrimp, a fire fish and then a clownfish. About half a year from now or so i would like to add one more fish maybe a small clown goby. tell me what you think about my plans.

Thanks

Me neither.

I think you're gonna have to up the lighting if you want to keep a brain.

DAMSELS are fish too! Be nice to him, he might be sensitive.

The brain corals aren't high light but they need more than you have. Although they're naturally on the substrate they can be on rock. Near the top half of the tank right under the light it should be OK.

Two fish is the max you'd want in a ten. Besides a single clownfish turns into a female and could be pretty aggressive to a clown goby.

thanks for the feedback. yea i might not go with the clownfish then. maybe ill go with a firefish and a banggi cardinal then. i may try the brain coral as well. but im definatly getting rid of the damsel because hes going to cause me problems

Nice looking tank. I'm not sure what kind of corals you could keep, probally some low light shrooms.
