View Full Version : Lights are finally done on this high school and ready

Loyalsock High School is ready as of today. Few things need to be done like close loop and filling it to the top and is ready to go. The tank is cycled and ready.
The hood was on today and I put all the bulbs in except one 250MH. The box opened and it dropped and has crack so looking for used 250 MH bulb if anybody has one. Lights are kinda mix of whatever I could find a deal on or used but next time I will pick what I want. The hood was costy and alot of work but is done.

I went to a ghetto high school. If anyone cared enough about us to put a fish tank in that woulda been sweet. Other than that it would have given me somthing to look at while waiting for the principal :smokin:

thats great you finally got it up, are you going to leave the lights on at a regular photoperiod or just a couple hours?
we need to do a waterchange soon, i can do it anytime this week after school, 3:00
btw what is the salinity in there? if all that water evaporated it must be high which would save on salt

Thanks guys,,
the tank will have major water change on Monday early morning,The salinity is around where it should be because it was low. The snails are still around and moving and I see some worms and bugs around too. This tank should be ready in a few days.

mo the hood looks great we have two used 250w bulbs you are welcome to cant wait to see that tank filled with coral

I have two people who told me they have used once I can have and if I get to your area before them i will let you guys know. Three of those ballast in that hood are from you guys and we had to remove them from the hood we got from you and fit them in this. Thank you guys and we will update.

it will look really nice in a month or two. Working on it and hope I can fill it in a week or two.
