As much as I like to support the local shops this is one item that is best purchased on line. Dual 400w PFO is about $150 for the ballast. I usually order from Premium aquatics because no tax and Jason will sometimes throw in shipping too. Prices on lighting really doesn't fluctuate much, so don't plan on a big sale with any of the online vendors. Maybe at a local shop but even at major markdown it will be appreciably more than online.

DIY can score you ballasts for about $40ea.

If you are still looking for lights I have two brand new dual 400w ballasts with reflectors, sockets, and 10k bulbs. The are all new and in the box. Let me know.

Hey thx, but im wondering how come you have not used them?
are they great? " /me trys not to sound mean." Ill talk to my dad about that, " he has the money for the lights, i just pay for the tank." so how much would you ask for them ? and if I did get them, then what do i need to buy to have them on my tank working great ?:cool:
