Very Sad Day

Today is a sad day for me :(. My juvi True percula died today. He was sucked up by my powerhead. Snapped in half like a twig. I should have rigged something to keep the fish and other life from getting sucked up.

yeah that sucks. i lost a chromis and a sixline to a closed loop intake

I have to rig something to prevent this from happening in the future.

sorry to hear that. You can put a bioball under it and I have used fishing line to make sure it does not move. They do sell a piece better than bioball that you can mount to the bottom of the powerhead too If you have 802

I did better than that. I did a diy sponge filter type deal. took a sponge filter cut it down to the size I needed,then cut a hole in the middle and super glued it to the rubber piece that inserts into the intake. There ya have it no more sucked up fishies. :)
