Has anyone ever made a 20'' X 7'' X 7'', I was thinking of making one just because being so shallow, it might make a nice prop/ show tank for my 20'' 80 watt PC. It would be 4.8 gallons, would this work, and does anyone have ideas about it, would there be potential problems?

Of course take pics if you do it, but I have a 10 long, 24x8x12, looks like a 15 from the front and I may set it up eventually.

It should look nice; maybe the evaporation could be a problem.

auto top off would fix evaporation, I wasnt shure if I should try a hang on filter or try to drill holes in the glass for bulkheads?

I have a glass shop down the street from me, so they would drill the holes.

I need a little more input...should I use a hang on filter, do I need a skimmer?, powerheads, what should I do for flow? I need a little more reasearch before I jump into it, and does anyone know an estimated cost on getting glass cut into plates and drilled?

haha its almost the size of my HOB fuge. My fuge its 20'' long 4'' deep and like 12'' tall i think. would be a cool tank. maybe fill it with zoas? i would get a 12'' HOB fuge fill it with macro and maybe a small HOB filter on the side.
