Here is the tread that I started on nano-reef.com:


Hi, this is the first time I do a journal of one of my tanks so here is the story:

The tank was setup a year ago but the lighting get damage and I decide to move the live stock to my 20g and let the minibow run only with the live rock, sand and one hermit. The problem is that because the tank have no light I do not pay attention to it and I have not do a water change since yesterday(six months later). When I was doing the water change I saw the hermit and that surprice me because the nitrates was in 120ppm.

Well Im planning have low light corals, feather dusters, a flower anemone and three nineline gobies. The minibow came with whisper micro power filter but I will add one more filter for more water movement and filtration. I will use a coralife 20w screw bulb for lighting but will it be in a diy hood because the stock hood do not have protection and reflector for the bulb. I will not use skimmer because I will do weekly water changes. I will post pictures later.

I can keep a urchin in a acrilyc tank? I ask because I read that the nineline gobies feeds in the urchin tubular feets.

I was testing the water parameters a few minutes ago and all seems fine. The water parameters are :

amonia 0 ppm
nitrite 0 ppm
ph 8.2
nitrite 20 ppm

The only thing that is a little high is the nitrate but that will be fixed with a water change.

Someone know the urchin and acrilyc compability?

45 minutes ago I went to the LFS and came with the coralife 20w screw bulb and with a redlip blenny. I will post pictures when the hood is finished and the blenny came out of the rocks.

dont get the nineline gobies... it looks good but that rock is way too boulderish to make a cool Aqauscape..

Fishfreak210 - I will not get the nineline gobies because I bough today a redlip blenny also Im not planning in add more liverock and in my opininion that rock will look very cool full of corals but thanks for the comment.
