I just found this on my live rock. The rock is cycling in my 12 gal aquapod. The tank has been set up since December 26th.
This little guy opens and closes like a clam. But I'm not sure if I can get lucky enough to get a clam on live rock. http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d106/nirrad487/DSC00291.jpg

Yeah that looks like a clam hithiker. I'm sorry theres a good chance it might die. I had a huge one. I accidiently bought it thinking it was a rock. It was so covered with coraline algae. It sadly died this summer from a family members watch. It live for up to a year before that happened.

thanks. My tank is still cycling, is there anything I can do to help this little guy? Do i put him closer to the light, or do I need to put anything in the tank? I didn't expect to have a clam, but I want to try to take care of him.

Nope. Nothing you really can do. They usually die within a year because they don't get adequate food from what we can provide.
