I have a 20 gal mixed reef with a 18 gal fuge/sump. There is over 60 lbs of live rock that has been going for almost years. (2 years feb 1st) I have to sell everything immediately. It is mostly softies. Rics, zoo's, mini carpet anemones, shrooms, tree corals, & star polyps. There is also a few hermit crabs, and snails. I am looking to get 150 obo. I have pics in my gallery of almost everything. Please reply to culdublvd1524@tmail.com.

Thanks
Brent

Brent,
Are you just looking to get rid of the creatures, or the whole system?

For the $150 that is just the creatures. For everything I'd want like $450. This would include a 175 ical mh, 2x55 pc lights, the 20 gal tank and 18 gal tank with mag 7 as return pump. My fuge light. A maxijet 900 and a custom built overflow box. Does that sound like a good deal?

I would think so, what is causing you to unload it?

I have to move in to place where I'm just renting a room and there is no space for it at all set up the way it is. Broken down I can handle in my storage unit, but with LR and corals that wouldn't do for very long. I'm stuck and have to get rid of them by this weekend.

Have you also posted this in the Used Equipment & Drygoods forum?

It seems a shame for you to have to break down your tank and lose all your work and cretures in it. Do you have any friends or coworkers who might be interested in you setting your tank up at their house or place of work, then, when you have a more permanent place that can handle the tank, reel it back in?

I knew a guy who couldn't keep a piano in his house, so he kept it for years at a friend's house, rather than selling it. His friends benefited by having a piano they had access to and could use and he knew it was in good hands. He'll get his piano back whenever he wants it.

You could give the people some quick training and you could go visit it weekly to maintain it. They could benefit from your hard work by enjoying the tank and you wouldn't have to let go of something you've worked hard on developing.

With a large tank this might be difficult, but with a smaller tank it might be possible to move it all pretty easily with little disruption to the inhabitants.

Best of luck,

Robert

Well, look on the bright side Guy, sounds like wouldn't have to give up 50% of the tanks!

Cheers,

Robert

I've thought about doing that but the moving of the tank part is something I don't want to do. Thanks for the suggestion though.
