Well, the yen rate blows right now. like 114y to the $1. SO rough estimate, your looking at around a ~$95-$100.

I need a new light bad, and wanna get one but im not to sure if I wanna drop that much $$ on a light. I was thinking about building a new hood with a retro kit but im not to sure.

The MH melted your brace?!? Was that your fault or is the light just that hot? I want to get a metal halide but not at the possibility of my middle brace melting.

it hasnt yet but it WILL on mine. a 55 is different you can have a MH on each side of the Brace(you have too because one MH bulb will not cover a whole 55. go with that retro fit idea and put a bulb on each side of the brace oppose to mine where it is right in the middle.

HTH and makes sense.
