View Full Version : Pipefish for a 30 Gallon Hex?

can you guys gimme some suggestions to adding any kind of pipefihs to my 30 gallon hex? i know they grow long and since the tank isnt very wide i wouldnt want to be inhumane....are there any that you guys can think of that dont grow so long??

Hi Phatmatt,

FFE is expecting to receive CB pipefish in the near future. It would be well worth the wait. Like seahorses, pipefish are notoriously hard to keep. The Banded Pipefish, D. dactyliophorus, is often found available for the aquarium. They are best kept in pairs and adult length is about 18cm. (about 7 inches)

Best of luck and I would suggest waiting for the CB pipes!!
