Green mushroom

I took this with a Nikon CoolPix 990, aperture priority at f 7.0, 1/15 sec., autofocus set on area mode. No tripod (the tank is on my desk at work :D )

This photography stuff is almost as much fun as reef keeping! :p

Oh yeah, I photoshopped the pic with Photoshop 6.0. Autolevels and Autobalanced the pic. Saved as a .tiff file at 2048 x 1536 and used this file to create the .jpg which was reduced to 800 x 600.

Thanks! I was really surprised by the quality. Before this pic, I used to leave everything on automatic mode. But since reading the instruction booklet (hint: read your instruction booklets! :D ), I've figured out how to do all these manual settings like I do on my SLR. It's like getting a new camera! :rolleye1:

I agree. I don't think I would have anywhere near as much fun with the hobby if I could not take pictures and share them with others. I think I have taken somewhere between 15000-20000 pictures over the last four years and it is so nice to be able to look at my tanks in different stages.
