groupers

any experience with keeping more than one of different species together?
I have a miniatus perhaps 6 inches
was looking at a "spotted" ( not panther ) perhaps 4 inches

Hi, I curently have a 6-7" Minatus, 8" Panther and a 7" Clown Grouper together in a 180 with no problems at all.

As they grow, and they do get rather large ;) , they will start fighting. In a large tank like a 180 or a 220 you might get away with a couple of juvenilles, but as maturity sets in the tank won't be big enough for more than one.

I've had a spotted grouper for the last couple weeks, and it is the most docile, passive, wussie fish I've ever seen. Mine is about 4-5" in size, and it cowers when any of the other smaller fish some near. My Percula Clown has made aggressive gestures towards it a few times and the Grouper backs off immediatly.

May still be early to say, but so far he's a little wuss. :)
