Hey everyone,
Recently, I noticed baby snails in my tank. Trochies (spelled wrong?) Most of them are sized, tip of a ball point pen, few are little bit larger. I dont know how many there are but would like to make a list who are interested in them. I want to limit this to 2 other person (blustang is first in line). I am located in SF, also please post on thread.
Pick up will be available beginning the 16th. I have finals next week...

i'm interested in the free snails, live in oakland and come out to sf all the time.. and can definitely come by this weekend. trying to setup a relatively new tank to hopefully move into the classroom. thanks.

If you can do it this weekend, thats fine, but rather do this starting from the 16th.

How generous of you! To bad I live in the sticks, cause I'd I would love a few home-spawned (just re-started tank after a big move). Good luck-

I'd make sure they weren't Collonista snails. Although they are beneficial to have in a tank they are a fairly common hitchhiker. They are usually referenced as "baby snails" because they don't get larger than 1/4". Here's a link on more info about them:

Can you post a picture (or link) of the type of snail you have?

I have 1 baby Trochus growing in my sump. He's now about 1/2" in diameter. If I have more babies in my tank, I have not found them yet.

In order to minimize the amount of snails we have to keep collecting from the wild, I'm hoping to be able to collect and raise a few different types.
