What to put between the tank and the stand?

What do you put between the tank and the stand? I am about to till my tank and was woundering what would be best.

Its an all glass 20 L tank with just a flat toped 29 gallon stand..

No, the stand top is just a little bigger around the edges, .5 - 1 inch or so on all sides..

If the stand is fully supporting and flat, I would say you really do not need anything. I have never used anything on any of my tanks and have never had a problem...And I am getting pretty old, have had some kind of tank for just as many years from 10 gal to 125 gal....If it sits flat go for it...
