Just read your article and found it really informative. I've been keeping an eye on a blue-spot at our LFS but the price has more than discouraged me. The pictures of some of the others looked equally as impressive. I know I don't have the sand bed for these guys in the main tank but the refugium is a possibility. It is a 30 gal with about 4-6 inch sand bed. I am concerned about my critter population in the refugium. Lots of pods, various mysis and other micro shrimp, various worms, and so on. Is one of these fellas going to wipe out this population? What about the macro algae that will be dominating the refugium? Obviously, I don't want to put one in a less than ideal situation. Thanks!

sounds like the ideal situation. no pods, mysis, macro, etc., will be consumed unless they are free swimming in the water column. remember to provide larger rubble for den building.

splurge amd get the blue spot ;)
