Brandon,
I remember we were talking about RO/DI units for water filtration. Here's a link (http://www.aquaticreefsystems.com/discount_reverse_osmosis.htm) to Aquatic Reef Systems "budget" filtration units.
I know from experience that their customer service is excellent and they are more than willing to answer any questions you might have before any purchase.
The Spectrapure is also a good filtration system, though more expensive. There have been some recent threads (http://archive.reefcentral.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=67739&highlight=spectrapure) discussing some controversy with replacement parts for them though.
You can always do a search in RC and see what other people have tried and like.
I would keep in consideration the likelihood that you will eventually be moving to a larger tank, so future needs should probably be factored in. (In other words, do what you can to do it right the first time.) :) This method may cost more initially, but will save money in the long run.

HTH,
Becky
