I hope this isn't very rude.. but I just got this photo off of gregr's website... all my own pics were killed by the worm...

This picture by gregr is stunning IMO - just wanted to share it with everybody in case he overlooks it .. hope you don't mind gregr... I really admire the way you capture clowns on camera... you really have a gift for snapping the photo at just the perfect moment to capture their personalities and beauty - thanks for posting so many great pics of my favorite fish

Hey Chewie,
Just use the IMG button when replying to a post and paste in your URL for where your pic is at in the dialog box that pops up. That should do it.

10 years old! That is great.

I thought that I was doing good since my three false percs will be four years old in a couple of days.

Keep up the great work!

My Reef,
That's adorable! These fish not only look like Clowns, they act like them too.
Mine, who sleep in the Dusters, had a bit of a trial last night. The sterilizer hose came loose from the pump and the pump was directed right at the Dusters. It looked like a Hurricane. Those Clowns hung on for dear life! You would have thought they would have abandoned the Dusters for a calmer bed!:D

Check the one on the right...he's actually sideways, :p :p

DaisyMay, they don't lose color or anything after so long? I had a couple of Oscars that lived over 10 years, and 2 of our Orandas are even older, but they're blind and have tumors. They're cute though...they stick together like glue...the blind leading the blind. If one falters and sinks to the bottom, the other will get under him and bounce him to the top for air.
They sleep one on top of the other.
Ooops...this wasn't a Goldfish thread, now was it? Well, they *are* orange!

I really thought they would lose there color but apparently not. It's hard to believe they were three years old when my wife and I brought our newborn son home (seven years ago).

I love Skunk Clowns, they're my favorite.

If they'd had them at my LFS, I would have gotten them instead of the Tomatoes, but I gotta admit...they are entertaining!

Really nice pics!

The picture isn't so great, but I really love my Maroon clown. I was oogling over them for months, when I happened upon a store that had them for sale for less than $10 each. (Its a gold stripe, but the camera washed out the stripes).

Hey, I have a question. Does that bright orange edge around some of the fins stay that way, or will that fade with time?

Scooterfishy
03/12/2002, 05:28 PM
Hey Doug.

Yes they are and it is very amusing to watch them play. One will nibble in the middle of the other and it kinda looks like it goes into a seizure. Really cool. I'm going to have to read more on mating and raising young!:)

Hi Brandon,

How are you trying to attach the image? Do you have the picture on a website or is it on your hard disk drive?

If it is on your hard disk then just click go down near the bottom of the page when you are posting your reply and click on button titled "browse" on the right of the "attach file" text. You then browse your hard disk and select the file that you are trying to post. The name of the file will show up in the little box next to the browse button. When you submit your reply a hyperlink to your image will show up at the bottom of your post.

If you have the image on a websever then you can use img tags.

Here is an example.

[ img]http://www.website.com/imagename.jpg[ /img]

In the example above, you need to remove the space next to the word img in the left bracket and remove the space next to the /img in the right bracket above. The webiste name is the domain name or address of the website that has your image on it and the imagename.jpg is the name of your image file.
