OK. So, what we are generally faced with as aquaculturists is that our target species have a planktonic larval stage that requires live, moving food of generally high density. Smaller than rotifers.

How about copepod nauplii? I have several articles concerned with nothing but the large scale aquaculture of copepods. As I understand, these are smaller than rotifers.

Smaller still, are ciliates. Another example of what must be a relatively easy group of creatures to raise.

Lastly, diatoms. These are easily aquacultured.

So, what is the input from you people??

let's get busy!

Well there is this article http://www.powow.com/seahorses/instructions.html
The 100liter culture vessels sure look like 30 gallon garbage cans. Anyway copepods seem to be a real royal PITA. Todd from seahorse.org reared them and now prefers to collect wild plankton rather than spend the time maintaining the cultures. The hardest thing is to get starter cultures. Bill Stockly sent me some Euterpina acutifrons one time don't know if he will still do this his website is http://ecosaqua.com
As far as the others don't think they will work for fish culture since they would be in common use.
