you want the best????
150w 6500k mh pendant with double t5 HO 24" actinics
20g sump/refug with a coralife needle wheel super skimmer 65
use cheatomorpha algae, LR in refugium, & 24" double pc light
30-40lbs of LR total.
mag7 return pump in sump/fuge running back up to tank with pipes that split into three. use 3 hydor flo wavemakers. use hydor 200w inline heater.
run lights in a reverse photo period.
coralife double digital light timer. (or a reefkeeper)
jbj auto topoff system and a multi doser ( for strontium, iodide,& magnesium) and you are ready to go.
4 astrea snails in main, 1 in sump. 3 hermits in main tank.
i run a similar system and love it. to do it over again i would use this exact setup. oh, and have the display tank drilled. do not use an overflow...huge waste of space and ugly. i have to topoff my ATO system once a week and i do a 5g water change bi-weekly. it is pretty smooth running.

Puts my 29 gallon seahorse tank's filtration/ lighting to shame

All I have on that is a small hang on back refugium, and a skilter filter, and a coralife 130watt T5 ligtht It dosnt really need any extra water circulation as its a SH tank, and they like low current, but Stick an extra powerhead on it and your all set

asm g1 skimmer in sump. Closed loop for water flow. I would not use any power heads.

I agree with Richard55, powerheads look too bulky.

does any one have a diagram or picture on plumbing and cutting?

i think you would need more snails then that, about 20-25. A mix of astrea, nass., and turbos would be good.
