Well I figured I would share with everyone here my little 2.5 I am in the process of building.

First here is the before picture. Just a tank and a canopy.

I am in the process of painting the canopy and base. The inside of the canopy is getting painted gloss white, and everything else is getting a gloss black. The wood is Poplar and is really sucking up the paint, but should look real nice once it is done. I may also add a coat of poly once it is all done to give it that shiny look.

looking good i like the dvd and sock and if you look real rad you can see your reflection taking the picture

yeah sorry about that, the tank is in a contest and we had to post pics to prove it was a new set-up.

nice job on the woodwork. I'd consider oiling it instead of varnishing. 4 layers of danish oil really sinks into the wood and creates a waterproof seal. I did a few tests and found it to be the best.

pm sent joking. really nice though. when are you planning on setting it up and what are you wanting for corals (for a small price (nothing to expensive of course) i might be convinced to frag my things for you))

I have a 75 gallon reef so I wont need to buy a single coral. Right now I am waiting on the paint to dry on the canopy and base, plus the light and heater are still in the mail so can't do much with out those. I plan to keep it simple with some zoo's and shrooms.
