View Full Version : Looking for pics of 20g's (highs not longs)
Well i am downgrading from a 75 to a 20 H, i'm curious to see some of your 20g reefs just to give me some ideas as to how to aquascape. I've got about 150lbs of liverock and 100lbs of sand I know i'll never be able to fit that all in there but the sump will hold aolt! Anyways help me out and show me what you got.
Thanks
Zac

I just upgraded my tank to a 30g XH, which has the same footprint as a 20g H - this tank is 24"L x 12"W x 24"H. Forgive the lousy pic and cloudiness, this was taken a few hours after the move.
Chop off the open space at the top, you've got yourself a pic of a 20g H ;)

sweet i've never seen a 30g XH...... that's pretty cool, one of the major problems I have now is with the lighting in my 20g. All I have are my 4 VHOs' i ordered some 24"ers, but still that's right at 15watts\gal. I'm kinda afraid of burning stuff....I guess i'll just put it aways away from the water maybe that'll help......
Awesome tank by the way....

here is a couple old shots from my 20H. I'm currently upgrading to a 40 breeder. Really crappy shots, my camera sucks and it looks like I needed to do some "tank cleanup"

Nebraska - in your first picture.. is that Xenia? If so, what kind of results have you had with them at the bottom of your tank. Also, what kind of flow are you running and lastly have you ever used Red Slime Remover or Chemi Clean in your system with the Xenia there?

I've used chemi clean with xenia, a coral banded shrimp and my clowns in the tank, no problems what so ever, just follow the directions on the back of the bottle.

JEdavis- Yes, thats Xenia. I've had fine results at the bottom of the tank. For lighting, I have a 250W 14K halide. I have about 200gph coming from my returns, a MJ1200, and another 150gph pump in there. I have never used chemi clean or red slime remover, but I wouldn't worry about using it with Xenia.
Xenia IS a pest.
