Lighting options for a 30 gal 36x12x16
I want to keep sps and other high light corals
All VHO 285wts total
A 175 or a 250 mh with vho
All T5 But i dont know how many i need for the right light

Well if your not keeping a mixed reef you will be ok with t-5. Whats your price range? From my reading the t-5s give off a lot of par especially if over driven. For high light i saw many use 4-6 t-5s. If I had more space, and was not concerned about the heat and price to purchase and run I would have gone with the MH, still seems to be the best bet.

I had 190w VHO in my old 30g tank, but if you want to keep SPS, I'd have 380w instead. You can get VHO retrofits for a really good price at HelloLights.com. Go to the DIY/Parts section and check out the VHO stuff there.
