Is it possible. The two false percs are in QT now, and will be added Nov 4. I dont expect to add the six line till after christmas. The tank is not skimmed but will have a AC 300/500 fuge with chaeto and LR. I also have a peppermint and skunk shrimp. I know this is a "reef-safe" but will it pick on corals(mostly soft, some LPS) and my inverts or will it be good? And how hard is it to get them to eat prepared food. Post some pics of yours if you have them,
thanks

Why did you tear it down. I also might try and fit a nano fission skimmer in my AC fuge, even though i heard its not really effective, its better than nothing. So the bioload dosnt concern me much. What I am concerned about is if it is a shrimp murderer and coral eater or is it hit or miss like many fish that are iffy on reef safenesss. If they have one at the LFS should i ask to see it feed prepared food and see it it has killed any shrimp yet?

yes ask if they eat prepared food. i always make sure they do before i buy them. i tore it down because i got bored with a 10 gallon and upgraded to a 26 bow front. just add a bakpak skimmer and you will be ok i love mine

Although 6 lines stay small they cover a lot of territory. I don't think one would be happy in a 15 gallon tank long term.

Also, once clowns pair up they can be territorial, and there's not much territory in a 15.

Had the same pairing in a 20H for 2 years...nice combo. I've never herd of a sixline eating corals or pepperment shrimp...unless the shrimp is dieing. sixlines are completly reef safe..its not a hit or miss thing. I even had a troop of sexy shrimp, the sixline never bothered them. a sixline will eat pods and bugs (not red) off of corals also.

I agree with Agu...that sixline is an active fish and I don't think a 15G is really a 'fair' environment for it. It needs room to swim. Is there another option for you? SH

A hi fin red banded goby or a clown goby. Clowns stay in the same place most of the time and so does a clown goby or a shrimp goby, I really want an open swimmer, what about a gramma? Any other open water suggestions, i also dont like cardinals all that much, slow swimmers.

Wait, two percs and three chromis, because i have two false percs in QT now, so three chromis isnt really an option. What would be a good open skimmer. I thinking a royal gramma.

The royal gramma would be a better choice...........

...........?, haha, i think royal gramma it is. I also meant open swimmer, not open skimmer.

haha, it will be a while before i put another fish in because my 96watt comes in monday, and im gonna get some corals next week. This is off topic but its my thread so, do i need to adjust my tank to the new light(15w to 96w) event though there is only shrimp and a cleaner crew?
