i am going to do a nano reef tank that is olny 16 ounces will i need filtration or cani chang the water alot also will i need a airater if i olny keep a small blue leged hermit i am planing on puting a small amout of live rock on the bottom will that provide air since the tank is so small i am planning on tke some water out of it every day a sowping it with some of my main tanks water

Now, why would you do that? A two cup reef tank? What corals do you plan to put in there?

I was wondering about this too. Do you mean 16g, or are you truly talking about 16oz?

You could put some rubble rock in there, but I don't think you could really put any substantial LR in 2 cups of water. Is there a reason for it? I see that you're just planning on keeping a hermit crab in there, so I suppose you could do it. I guess I just don't understand why.
