I am planning on a 54 gallon corner bowfront someday. I will probably need metal halide to penetrate well to the bottom of the tank. I'm not sure I want a pendant hanging from my ceiling, but I have not ruled it out. Metal halide in a fixture would be nice if there is a fixture that would fit on a 54 gallon corner. Or, maybe a retro-fit under a canopy. From what I understand, I will need at least 250W, because 175W would not be enough for good coral health at the bottom of the tank. Does anyone know of a place where I can get the 250W metal halide for a really good price? Also, from the options I mentioned, what does everyone think is the best one for my desired tank? Also, where can I get the tank for a really good price?

It depends by what do you mean by "less". Good quality and reasonable prices all the sites above and maybe hellolights.com. Lower quality (some have luck and no problems with this fixtures) aquatraders.com
