howdy yall, heres some more pics of my updated setup with the new LR and actinic bulb. is that really zoa of some sort living on my snail? right now im looking at it and it looks like the zoa has is polyps or tentacles or wahtever you call them out!

and at last my little host snail...doesnt look like the polyps are out...i tried to get a pic of them out but my camera sucks!

what do yall think? more sand? any problem areas? im really happy with the way its coming together. i have lots of pods and critters, and the coraline is coming in, and i found a little feather duster! my params are all looking good too. im on my 4th week right now, so im lookin to get my 6 line this week.

Like the rockwork. :) Looks like your starting to get some cyano on the sandbed. Take a turkey baster and suck it up.

yeah that stuff sucks. i went outta town for a few days and it was everywhere! i got some asteas and they have cleaned most of the rocks, but its all on the sandbedin some areas too....i tried the turkeybaster thing and its sucking some of it up.

that coral looks like some sort of mirco acan. im not sure though, but from the pic it looks like something other than a zoo, could just be the angle though.

Are you buying your liverock with the brown color intentionally? I like how you have a couple of different kinds of liverock in the tank Tonga ect... looks like a collection :)

no, the brown came from the diatom bloom and theres not a whoe lotta coraline on them yet....also i dont think i gcleaned the rocks as well as i couldve befor i put them in there

That is easily fixed with a tooth brush... I like using that because it cleans well... and it also helps spread spores for the coral line algea or so I am told... I have a lot of Tonga in my Predator tank I think it makes good shelves.
