I recently took down my 90g SPS/Zoa tank and setup two smaller tanks in it's place..

a 25g Clam tank(filled with SPS no clams) dual 1" bulkheads in the back wall with strainers, no fish, Barebottom with a 1600gph Tunze and a 1850gph Tunze on a controller, with a 250w 14k MH above it, also plumbed into the system is a 20g zoanthis tank with a 1" sand bed filled to the brim with zoanthids, 1" bulkhead w/strainer through the back wall, True Perc, Copperband, and my Mandarin(3yrs old and eats everything I feed) with three small powerheads in it with 2x24w pcs above it(upgrading to 96w powerquad shortly), both of these tanks are plumbed into my 40g sump, the 1" spaflex hoses go into a prefilter section in the sump with a bag of carbon, then into the skimmer chamber with a Euroreef rated for a 200g tank, three partions, then the return chamber(about 10gs) has my dual float topoff switches, a probe holder with probes for my various equipment, and of course my return pump a quietone 4000 rated at 1017gph. I love this new setup.. the crazy thing is that my 90g had a single 1.25" durso and these two tanks have 3 overflows and it's about 50x quieter=)

So anyways since both main tanks are under 30gallons would you guys consider it a nano? if so lmk and I'll snap some pics in the next few days to share the setup.... I went for functionality and not looks with my new system... It's a temporary system till I get my new house this summer and start work on te 240g+ in wall setup...

Have a great weekend

Som consider a nano 20 and under and some say 30 and under, i think 30 and under because the majority of saltwater tanks are 55 and aboce. Lets see some pics, they both sound like awesome tanks.

30 gallons or less is a nano but some people post here that have up to a 40 gallon tank. I have a 36 gallon tank and post here.

Yeah it's considered a clam tank due to the size/shap[e of it.. I did have some clams(4 of them but sold one and lost three=(... Pic's shall be coming soon I need to clean up around it a little to make it look pretty.. Unfortunately the SPS aren't exceedingly colorful at the moment.. Had some issues previously which have since been resolved(controlled was running everything 10degrees to hot, lost about 90% of my corals..)
