I need some help with a mod to my 12 gal nano cube. I dont know what i was thinking when i bought this. I only bought the one with one 24 wtt light in it. I want to add more light. I bought a 70 wtt mh but now am afraid to put it in because it gets so hot.
I found a place to buy 2 more 24 wtt bulbs, and balists to put in the hood, but i have no clue on how to do it. I took the hood apart, and there is so much wireing and motors under there, i got scared, and put it all back together. does anyone do this kind of work, or can tell me how to do it.
I also found a site where i can buy a new hood for my tank, but with the light i want, is almost 300.00

the retro kits are around 50.00

can i safely put the 70 wtt mh in there????

I am by far no expert....but I would think the 70w MH would put out too much heat for that tank.

It would help to know what you would like to grow in your nano.

Can you return you cube to the other model that has the duel lights?

it can be done, but you will need that cooling probe to help the heat.. cause yes there will be heat! you should have gone T5!!! (i love'em) check out nano-reef.com plenty of people have done that mod there!!! check it out!
