I have a 46g bow with a big fat center brace so far my thoughts are either a single 400w mh 20,000k with two 36'' super actinic vho's, or two 250w 20000k,s with know actinic,s suggestions please.

if you are just looking for suggestions, I would say 2 250 10k's plus VHO or PC actinics. If you are looking for expert advice, then maybe someone else can help :) I think the 10k's would give you more par and better growth then the 20s

I think the best way to approach this is what do you want to keep in it and what are the dimensions?

Depending on your layout you could use one 250w MH with a good reflector. Pick a bulb/ballast combo that has good PAR and leans toward the blue side of the spectrum and you wouldn't need to have actinic supplementation ( don't NEED it anyway.)

In truth you could use a 175 set-up if you picked wisely.

These options would save money and reduce heat concerns.

I just ordered two aro pro series 250w 20'000k xm with the spider light reflectors, and two 4.74'' fans that do 80 cfm each. For right now this will be a sumpless system with a remora pro, to seio super flow 820 and a wisper 30/60. I heat becomes an issue i could install a sump to aid in cooling. any suggestions
