Anyone have a BB nano. I've been slowly taking sand out of my tank. I used to have a 2-3'' sandbed and now its around 1/2'' in front in 1'' in the back. Please post pictures if you have a BB nano.

Very nice, what fish is that in the corner? Is that a clown goby? Or did his movement make him shorter and he is some sort of other goby or blenny? :)

He's a clown. Three fish in the 19 gallon tank, a rainford, the clown and a very small blenny.

I am starting a nano BB. It is a 20 gallon nano with an ASM G3 skimmer and a mag 9.5 return, I need to go pick up my starboard and finish some plumbing, then I just need to wait for my RO/DI unit to come in. Hopefully I will be adding LR next saturday.

i just set the LR on the bottom glass, most people use starboard or something to protect the bottom glass, but in nanos the pieces of LR aren't really big enough to do any damage if there's a rockslide.

Ya, I am using it mostly for the color, I got black so it should look interesting.

I just redid my 2.5 and removed the sand bed.

Nothing wrong with putting LR on the glass in a nano....there isn't enough of a pressure point to crack the glass....you can scratch it though:)

I painted the bottom panel white......you can see how much reflective light I get compared to the tanks above

I think most nanos look better BB. Bigger tanks need sand though.

well i must weigh in on this. I had a bb nano 12 jbj for about 2 months (i posted when i did it). I just put my sand back in because it would not stop growing algea. I hope to be able to one day start up a new bb tank but it will be a much larger tank. sorry no pics cause i dont have a camera any more

Mine has been up and running for a few months BB and I love it. I love not having to clean the sand all the time and algae has cut downso much. Plus all of my corals seem to be doing better.
