Has anyone considered using an OOPic ( http://www.oopic.com ) for a reef controller? It seems to have enough I/O and programming capabilities.

Is there any reason this wouldn't work?

Looks very promising, I will talk to a few elect. engineers and see what they think.

The oopic will do whatever you like, be prepared to spend some time programming it :)

Programming it would be half the fun:) Otherwise, I'd just save my pennies and get an Aquacontroller.

I used an OOPic for my senior design project and it was a breeze. Programming language was a bit tricky at first but not bad at all.
