Who knows anything about these?
I'm sorry, I'm not sure about the scientific name, and I haven't been able to find them in a book yet. They have the body style of a Rainford's goby (Amblygobius rainfordi), but they're much smaller, staying well under 2" at full growth. They have a white, almost clear head, and the body behind the pectoral fins is covered with lime-colored vertical stripes (about 1mm thick) alternating with white. The tail is clear/white.

It's a pretty cool looking fish. They've been at the store for at least 3 weeks, and I've seen them eating like champs; very active. We were thinking of getting one for our 10g nano, but we wanted to see if anyone has experience with them. The only fish in the tank right now is a barnacle blenny that had been in the tank at the store with these lime-stripe gobies (so I know they get along fairly well).

Thanks,
Dave

check out my post on this thread (http://archive.reefcentral.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?threadid=62626&highlight=gobies). is that the one your looking for?

if not, have you checked goby frontiers (http://uri.sakura.ne.jp/~dd/goby.htm)?

Henry, yep, that's the one. Thanks. And thank you for the other info you gave in that post. My LFS does have them captive-raised (which I forgot to mention before).

And since it came up in that other thread, it'll be going into a tank witha barnacle blenny. After hearing what you wrote about getting them to spawn, I'll have to consider getting two of them.
