Bottom line is that I am going to do it. After I make some key decisions, I am going to get rid of the sand, cook my rock, and go bare bottom. So my first question is what do we know about drilling a tank?

I thought about going BB,but I'm kinda fond of the way sand looks. Who knows though!

You can use a dremel to drill tanks if the glass isn't tempered.

If you don't know whomade the tank so you can ask if it's tempered or not, it's a crap shoot.

Chances are only the bottom is tempered.

i'm not a huge fan of BB, but the results speak for themselves. if on the off chance you don't have a dremmel, you can borrow mine. i'm still trying to get jimmy to come to next month's meet haha

I think that I am going to wuss out and have a local glass guy cut it. I know one that owes me a favor or two
