I noticed that your non-splitting RBTA does not look like it has tentacles near the mouth. Mine does.

I wonder if that is how to tell them apart.
Beautiful tank by the way.
P.S. here is my pair of True Percs...and proof that my RBTA splits...

When mine was smaller, he had more tentacles around the mouth. And sometimes he doesn't spread out so far and it just looks like he's smaller in the middle. I don't know.

Here are pics from June of 2004 when he was a lot smaller.

Come to think of it he did split once when I first got him. He kept climbing up and trying to squeeze himself through the overflow. Part of him split off and was pureed in the skimmer pump. Turned my whole tank white and it smelled of anemone soup. Really, really gross. Maybe it traumatized him so badly he's never wanted to try it again.

I've got some better pictures when I first got him in March of 2004, but I'll need to size them down and upload them to RC to post them.

Your anemone is beautiful! Mine only shows that much green under actinics.

Anyone who has looked at my gallery or any threads I've been in that give an excuse for a pic have seen this one. But I can't resist. This is my favorite picture of my anemone and clowns and I have it as my computer desktop. Can I post it one more time?

There is something SO photogenic about clowns in their anemone!
