Has anyone used one of the Seio Super Flow Pumps? I was thinking of getting a couple of the 620's for my 75g. Over twice the GPH and less then half the watts of the MJ1200's that I am using now.

I have a 620 on my 75 and love it. I want to get a second one to replace my other MJ. The current is so much less concentrated. My sand doesn't blow around near as much but yet I have a ton more flow.

They are excellent powerheads, I currently have two 820s in my tank and will be purchasing two to four 620s later this month.

You probably think thats insane...all those Seios in the tank but even with the wide flow, I still find some really slow flow areas.

They are hooked up to each side pointed towards the top of the water. Its wide flow creates the prefect amount of ripples at the surface and towards the center where the ripples collide, they flow shoots off towards center bottom. I plan to add maybe two more Seios in the center shooting towards the sides of each wall to provide the flow underneath what my current Seios shoots out.

I rate these PH's a 9/10 and I've dealth with pretty much all the 'name brand" powerheads out there. These are the best up to date in my book. Low wattage, dispersed flow, lots of water movement, the suction cups actually stay compared to the MJs. The only con I can think of right now is its bulk.

There are a couple threads on here about the Seios not restarting after a power outage, but I have plugged mine in and out and had a couple power outages and mine has always restarted.

There is also a good thread on here about a mod to the mounting bracket. I did it to mine and it is awesome!! I'll try to find it for you.

Thanks Gary!!! I was looking for that thread lastnight and could not seem to find it. I guess its because I was looking in the DIY forum where it should have been :)

I just happened to have bookmarked it the first time I found it. I just had a feeling that I'd need it again someday. :D

Hey Dwayne, did you end up going with the Seios? I'm thinking about purchasing 2 Seio 1500's real soon.

No not yet. I have had too much going on lately to even bother with it.

Well I did it. I ordered 2 Seio 1500's. Haha. I'll be shearing coral and fish flesh off in no time.
