Hey guys, need some advice. (again) I'm currently running a 26watt Bright Kit on my 10g nano that I purchased from AHSUPPLY and I'm curious to know if I need more lighting. I'm noticing that most people are using around 64watts on 10g nano's and I want to add another 26watts to put me at 52watts. Will I really notice the 12watt difference if I don't go to the 2x36watt kit??? Or, will I be safe with another 2x13 kit? HELP!!!

Todd and I ordered a couple ballasts that will run 2x55 watt lamps, which are like 23" long... will they fit?

If not, it will also run 3 or 4 32 to 36 watt lamps. Quite versitile, and a much brighter way to go :D

THere wouldn't be seperate dusk/dawn with this ballast, but you could use your existing set up for that maybe. (I don't have it on my nano)

The ballast will run about $45.

I think the 23" bulbs will be a little long. I'll measure when I get home and see. I'm currently running two serperate ballasts and I'd like to keep the dusk/dawn thing going. Isn't 110watts a lot of light for a 10g nano Dave. Jesus man... I have 130watts on my 30g. :p

To be honest, the question is a little bass-ackwards. What is in (or going to go in) the tank? That is the real arbiter of the amount of light you need.

Well, nothing major. I just want to be about to put a few Acro's in there, some Xenia, a very small frag of my frogspawn. What's most important to me is making sure this stuff gets enough lighting but not overkill. I have nothing in it right now, just critters and about 10-15#'s of LR.
