I doubt I will buy this, even though it is a very good deal, but does it have a pump. If not what size is recommended.

No pump. It's meant to run in line with your return plumbing. It has 2" inlet and outlet, but could be sized down. Don't know what size tank you are looking to install on, but I had it on my 260 while I was stocking new fish.
