I think there was a thread like this awile back, but I'll start a new one! Sort of an online garage sale!

I am looking for a couple of things. First off, I have a ten gallon that I will be setting up for my kids. I have everything I need except a hood and light of some sort. I know they are already pretty inexpensive, but if anybody has something in working order, I might be interested. I probably want 2 fluorescent bulbs. The tank will pretty much be fish and live rock, with maybe some mushrooms and anthelia from my tank, although it would be great to be able to keep more (sorta my nano that can be my kids' project too!)

Secondly, I am looking for an icecap ballast for VHO. 430 or 660, doesn't really matter, but I don't really want to spend a bunch (err, that would be my wife doesn't want me to spend a bunch. In fact, I haven't mentioned yet that I "need" more lights! LOL)
so again, if anyone has something laying around that they are willing to get rid of inexpensively, I may be interested.

One things that I have, that I could trade or sell, is a stand and hood for a 29. I made the hood, and the stand is 2x4 and 2x6 construction that I started to "wrap" to match the hood. Never finished it, but it still could be done. In fact, I may be willing to finish it, and fix up the hood if anyone is interested.

I have a 12 gallon JBJ Nano Cube with skilter filter and nice stand all for $120.00. Lights in hood are brand new. Its in excellent shape.

Hmm, I might be interested in the nano. Don't know if my wife would go for it though! We'll have to see what the cost of the hood comes out to for the 30gal :)

The only thing I have right now is anthelia which is growing like a weed. I don't know if I have any on a separate rock or not, but I finally got it to grow up the side of the glass, so it will be easy to scrape off, there's just not enough on the glass at the moment.

If you don't want to get rid of it right now, that's cool. I probably shouldn't be buying anything anyway!

Sorry Willie, I haven't been on here for a few days. Let's see, Aquapets does have some URI VHO's, not sure on the pricing though. I have bought mine from Marine depot but for sizes under 48" they have an extra shipping charge.
It looks like you could get 2 of the 24" size to fit nicely, which would be 150 watts. I don't know what you have now, but that would be a decent amount for most softies and some LPS. I think Aquapets might actually have some 24" in, because awile back they ordered some for me. They usually don't carry them, because there isn't much demand for that size. If you are thinking of going VHO, You also need an IceCap 430 ballast, which you can get at Marine Depot for about $139.

There may also be some ready to go setups, but I think it's less expensive doing it this way.

I have a tank that I think is a 30 gal. and a stand. Haven't decided if I want to get rid of it yet or not (hoping to use it in a bigger set up if we ever move!) Let me think about it a bit, I know it would be nice to get out of the garage.

I got a 30" Custom sea life fixture I want to get rid of because I want to upgrade my lighting. It's 3 months old and in great shape but has 6 small hole drilled on the top because I hung it in my canopy. It is the same as link but Current USA took over CSL product line. Price 100.00
