Just a quick clarification

Hey folks,

Just to clarify a couple things:

This bulletin board is for all of us to use and enjoy. Feel free to post opinions, and stories, helpful tips, and questions. We'll all give them a look and maybe respond.

There is a difference between matter that gets posted here and official club positions or policies. The club hasn't endorsed or condemned any local store or vendor. That'd be unethical, and is simply something we don't want to get into.

Please note if I or anyone else says "Oh that store stinks!" it doesn't mean the club has them on a blacklist or that the club recommends the members avoid that store. Likewise if somebody praises a store on the boards it doesn't mean that store decided to advertise or sponosor us.

Any offical policies will be published on www.bostonreefers.org

Any comments or questions from you folks are welcome. Bear in mind we don't have a lawyer, so we're doing the best we can with a delicate matter. Seems that in another area of the country a fish store sued a couple people for slander due to posts on a board. We don't want to get into that.

Vilas, ScavDog, Jimbos, Reef-Lite, and I are all trying to put something together now. We're trying to hammer out a few issues to bring to the rest of the members for review/commentary/approval.
