Sorry to hear all that!! Good to see you're still around and not getting out of hobby. I can donate some purple shroom frags to the rebuild of your tank if you want.

Hey Mike, good to hear from ya. My condolances to your family. I lost a very good friend 2 weeks ago too and it's been tough on us all. Give Nina a big hug and a smile for me!

Cyano is a toughy! An Oxidizer like Chemi-Clean has worked for me in the past. You need to remove fish and inverts and hammer the tank with 2-3 doses to do any good but it's better than antibiotic treatment and can wipe the red monster out completely. Also, dragon goby, urchin, and even sea cuke seem to pick at the stuff.

I am not going to really post it anywhere, but if there is anyone interestd we are seriously thinking of getting rid of it. We will keep my SH tank though. We love the tank, and all our animals, but we have other interests now and aren't home alot to care for things... In the winter we will be home, but I am not going to turn down a good offer. I got a bearded dragon & accessories, a guinea pig and cage. I wouldn't mind getting rid of everything except of course my dogs and the one tank but my daughter would be heartbroken if i got rid of her guinea pig.. so I guess I will have to keep one.. and may keep the bunny to????? I am going to be getting a job here soon and it is all just getting to be too much, time and especially money. It cost us almost $100 a month to run the 200g and our electric bill was almost $400 for ONE month!!

wow ... good luck lori.. :) hope all works out well for ya.. i think if i setup a new tank im doing softies only and low light corals dont need any high bills im going to go crazy when i see all these bills.. first time ever moving so much to buy and ahhh.. well anyways once we get moved in we would like to have everyone over when we get our tank up and running etc.. :)

The guy I know in Geneva called me today and still has his 120 setp for sale. I need to call him about the price but I'll guess it's 2K or less. He wanted $2,500 6 months ago but doesn't want to advertise, so I guess it's up to me.. sheesh! I have digitals of it if anyone is interested, I'll get you intouch with him.
