Also I will add the xenia, leather, and ric may not look that good. Mainly because my lights have not been all all day. Thats why they are cheap.

I could probably run by this afternoon or evening. On my way home from work would be great, depending on where you live.

You can have the leather I just wanted people to know they dont look the best at the moment.

On a side note I hope I dont have to cancel this but my wife is less than pleased about getting rid of the tangs. But I dont see an alternative.

sorry to hear you have to take the tank down. i would take the zoo's but won't be in omaha till the 20th:( there isn't anyone that will keep your tangs till you get up and going again? so your wife can still keep them

CH

Yeah, I would hang on to one of them for you, but I just don't know how hard it would be to get back out. I wouldn't want to tear apart my tank to try and remove them!

When can corals be picked up?

Sorry I got home really late last night. Here is the deal. I am really torn on what to do. I guess at the moment I am still willing to sell the stuff but I must have everything spoken for before I let it go. It would make no sense for me to sell only a few things as I would still be in the same boat. I hope you understand. Also anyone have any idea what percentage of water can be replaced without causing a cycle? I really wish I could get this water cleared up and avoid all this.

Check on Vivid Aquariums website. Its tells you everything about cycling a tank.

Rick give your tank a chance before you take it down .Try 25 gal water changes every other week .do you have some form of calalpa in your sump?

CH
08/09/2005, 12:44 PM
Yeah, I would jsut start doing water changes. When I upgraded to my 75 from a 29, I mixed about 50-60 gallons of new water, then just started doing daily changes, so that eventually the water was the same in both tanks. Then I moved everything over, and never had any type of cycle at all. The 29 is still being used as the sump, so in reality, i added 75 gallons of new water to my tank with no visible cycle.

What type of algae problem are you having? The pictures seem to look fine to me, although I think you could use a lot more rock.

Ok everything is on hold. Sorry
I dont and never planned to stop all together. I just thought the easiest way to get things under control would be to start over. My new skimmer should be ready today and I will see how that goes. The main problem is the aglea in the water column so the water is a green cloud. This has happened twice since going BB and I dont know why. Maybe I am not cleaning enough, not enough flow, need more rocks. I dunno. I also have a seio 1500 coming tomorrow so maybe that will help. Thanks for the support and I promise frags when avail. to those that where interested.

Hey, no problem. Although I'm bummed on not getting a hammer!:(
But that's ok, there will be other opportunities!

If there is anything I can do to help you out, let me know.

Good luck!

Rick if your willing to pick one up you can use my UV sterilizer until it clears up since I don't have any fish in quarentine just in jail until I find better homes. Its a 15w with a rio 600 pump on it and its set up to hang on the back. You'll have to clean it up first since I have a little copper in the QT its on now.

Hey anydamnthing, I would like to take you up on that offer if it is still avail. I did a ~90% water change Sat. and it is beginning to cloud again. It seems better in the morning and then then it seems to feed on the lights. Please let me know thanks.

Well I have had the UV I bought up and running for about 24hrs. and boy am I impressed. The water has more than doubled in clarity. I guess it should be cleared up in another day or two. Once again thanks for the support and assistance.
