Toys R Us on 76th and Dodge has about 3 pallets left. 50lbs bags, they go for $4.99 a bag.

I picked some up but too bad I run BB, I will probably never use it.

Not quite sure. I put it in some vinegar and it did nothing. To me it really does not matter as I have seen no evidence that silica sand is a problem.

I believe the Lincoln Toys R Us has the same stuff. I walked right by it but didn't check the price. The bag looked the same as the picture.

I have been told silica in the reef is very dangerous. I saw some of the sand you did but it had silica so I wanted no part of it. Isn't it sopposed to bubble when the vinegar is put to it? May want to do some research on silica in the reef before you use it.

For those interested you can check out this article.

Once again I have not seen or heard of any PROOF it causes a problem. Maybe some dont want to take the chance. Thats fine I was simply keeping people informed as to what is availible.

I hope silica sand isn't dangerous, since I have 14 tons of it in my Sulawesi display! It might add a little to the diatom growth, but that's all I've noticed.
