:P

Here is my new firefish! He is helping me finish cycle my tank! The only thing is this little firefish seems to like my pods or any other critter on the glass! Yikes!

He is actually a little brighter in real life! The flash bleached his color out a little, mostly the yellows and purple on his head.

Nice looking fish. Congradulations. :)

What camera do you use?

Thx!
I use a Canon EOS Rebel G with a Speedlite 200E Flash and a standard 35 - 80 mm lens.

I really need to get a macro lens as well as a telescopic lens.

Here are some more.

I need to scan the negatives. The prints from Wal-Mart always suck, and my scanner isn't that hot either.

Has anyone had problems with these fish picking on pods and stuff? What exactly do pods look like. What I have all over my glass looks like an "8" has a tiny tail on one end of the 8, and two antenna on the other end of the 8. Are these pods? If so my firefish seems to really enjoy eating them off the glass, but only on one side. He doesn't touch any other side of the glass and doesn't even give the rocks the time of day.

I think most fish will eat the little "bugs" I have never really tried to learn the difference between all the little bugs that cruise on the glass and rocks of my tanks. I wouldn't really worry about it, there are a lot more where those came from and they reproduce pretty fast. If you get too concerned you could set up a little refugium for them to live in.

When I first turn on the light I have tons upon tons of these little guys. It is like I have had a population explosion of them. Unless this little guy goes captain insano on them, there will still be plenty......well as long as they continue to breed like they have.

I have noticed my tank, along with other tanks on the fourms go through a maturing process. At first I had a lot of brown algae. One day it was just gone. I still have some green and red hair algae, but I don't mind it for now. I figure the more green right now the better. It is just sucking up nitrates I guess. The coralline seems to be going ape too.

How big of a problem does gree bubble algae become? :P IT seems to be growing pretty quick on me. Will it phase out?
