Just starting a thread with my newest nightmare, oops I mean my new pride and joy! This is to be a 240G reef. Dimensions are 60 X 30 X 30. I am going to be running a custom sump/ refugium with an ASM G3 in sump and an EVC240 with ozone externally. MRC dual tower calcium reactor, 1/3 hp chiller, Sequence Dart closed loop and Velocity T3 for return. Hopefully should be a pretty good set-up. Just took delivery today and I am trying to stay calm while putting it all together! ENJOY the pics!http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/500/93829tank1.jpg

Will be running 4 X 48" VHO and 2 X 250W HQI halides with either XM 10000K bulbs or Phoenix 14400 bulbs.

Keep posting pictures at each step. I think it's so cool to see the progress of a new tank. I got a tank progression page on my site, showing the tank from the day I put the first frags in it, to the present.

Well I finally got this baby filled with water. Seems like I have spent the last 5 days camped out in the plumbing section of Lowes. Thanks Zach for the fittings. Worked like a champ. Will post pics as soon as the beast clears and you can see into it.

Finally got everything squared away, sort-of! Still only have VHO's running but hopefully my halides will be going in the next day or two and I can get going on the aquascaping.http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/500/93829tank12.jpghttp://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/500/93829tank12.jpg http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/500/93829tank11.jpg

tank is in the process of shaking down, and all that entails. Hopefully will have all plumbing kinks ironed out on Monday night and will shoot some new pics after that.

Promised some new pics and here they are. Just want to give major thanks to Hector at Oasis Tropical Fish. Without his assistance I would probably be staring at an extremely empty tank! Finally have almost all equip. up and running. All that is left are moonlights and PH monitor. Tomorrows project no doubt! http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/500/93829tank8307.jpg http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/500/93829tank8305.jpg http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/500/93829tank8304.jp http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/500/93829tank8303.jpg http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/500/93829tank8302.jpg http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/500/93829tank8301.jpg
