Ran into this and thought it was interesting. Some of what is said is moronic though...

especially this bit...


Philippe Cousteau, president of the environmental advocacy group EarthEcho International, said growing coral in captivity is "very cutting-edge stuff . . . there are only a few people doing it."

That's right,everyone is doing it.
Though I must admit my supply of stem cells is nearly gone.
Maybe I can pick some more up at the next swap.

Ah, but the guy quoted only said growing corals and he isn't associated with the researchers at all. It would be interesting to know where they are getting the stem cells though.
