That is too cool! What would you need to set up a tank just for it? What is it's diet, etc.?

Snails. Possibly other types of mollusks. Looks like a Tridacna clam mantle doesn't it?

any tips on how to find/catch one in the tank? I have one, saw it once and didn't get it out because I was too busy staring with my mouth open and thinking "how did THAT thing get in there????"

now, of course, I can't find it. how did you spot yours?

Known about it for over a year. It only seems to eat snails though it has gone months without any. I just decided to catch it and when I saw part of it I used thin acrylic rods to poke and prod untill it went where I could catch it. Maybe use a snail for bait.

You giving that thing away? I can feed it snails...no problem. Any particular kind it prefers??? Margarita snails with a little salt around the shell and a lime wedge???

You can have it if . Snails is all we know that it eats but I suspect other mollusks may be on the menu.

Richard. Thats just nasty. Its almost as bad as me keeping a pickled 18" bristle worm. What you gonna name you new pet parasite? Clingie?

It'a actually very pretty but it is a very efficient predator. After talking to the guys at the shop it seems that they have been suppling it with snails for close to two years. I wonder what that cost me.

I have a pretty cheap supplier for golden astrea snails. I would love to keep this guy. I will be coming to Memphis Friday afternoon. Can I pick it up then?

whatever you have handy I'll partake in thank you very much. I'm going to leave a piece of green digita at Kermits for Cody, do you want one too?. And I think I have a mushroom he can take. When you and Richard get there be sure to tell them that you have some frags to pick up in the back. I'll mount them on reef plugs.

What time will you guys be at Kermit? I might try to swing by and say hi...

The President and Vice President will be arriving in Memphis at approximately 12:00 PM. Due to the sensitive nature of their visit they will be held in a secure location... untill one of them has to pee. I will be conducting distant survelance because I can't get off work, but will be leaving work early. I hope to rendevous with the sometime before they leave Memphis airspace and see what kinds of coral goodies they have amassed before their departure.

I'll check my stock and see what I have. Hopefully you will get off and we'll see you. My number in the member directory is my cell, so feel free to call to find out where we are if you guys are around. =)

Oh yeah, I have a green digita so I'm cool =)

It's looking khaki-colored ATM. I'm hoping to see it color up some more but we'll have to see. What did you use to form your plugs?

Unless y'all arrive right as we open that probably will not happen.

I have to go to Piperton to check on the progress of a custom install. That'll have me out of the shop for a few hours. I'll be leaving sometime around 1:00 PM and I don't know when I'll be back.

I actually got these from GARF. I didn't have the time to make them because I was being overrun with frags from my M. cap and others.
