Hi guys,
I've got a weeks diving booked in the Canary Islands (Tenerife to be exact) I was wondering if anyone had any info or advice. From what I inderstand its mostly pelagic stuff thats of interest and they're are no coral reefs as such but I was wondering if anyone had any experiences to share.

Hi wla20

I did my openwater in Tenerife last year with my girlfriend.

I used a dive center called Atlantic Divers in Los or Las Galletas.

Great set of people who work there Mick is the guy who owns it with his missus Nicky.

All the divers who work there also live there so they can show you some great dive sites.

Just a few we went on are the Sting ray dive (outstanding) and one dive site called Yellow mountain.

As you said because it is a volcanic island there isn't much coral life but we were really impressed with the dives they took us on.

They will pick you up from your complex and drop you off at the end of the dive.

Here is the link to thier site Atlantic Divers (http://www.atlantic-divers.com)

Thanks,
I just got back...I used Atlantic Divers too. The stingrays were really good but unfortunately there was pretty strong current so we couldn't stay on the stingray dive that long. Yellow mountain was lovely too.

Better late than never Eh! ;)

nice to hear you had a good time.

Did you see the Grandaddy Stingray, the one that is about 7 foot across?

Sadly not. Did see some lovely morays on the wreck though.
